How we help clients

Identify key challenges and how to fix them.

Growth creates challenges that can be hard to see. These include scaling processes, leading people, redefining roles, and ensuring a collaborative culture. Work with clients and interview software teams, analyze product and activity data, highlight challenges, and provide them with actionable steps to transform these into opportunities.

Take the technical leadership of teams to the next level.

Provide coaching, 1:1 sessions, and ongoing guidance for CTOs, engineering managers, team leads, and tech leads. Help leaders grow in their current roles while also providing guidance on career pathing and development.

Organize teams to reach tomorrow’s ambitious goals.

Reimagine organizational structures from a socio-technical systems perspective to not only meet today’s needs but achieve future goals. Teach organizations to gradually adapt to the targeted customer value delivery, technical architectures, and the cognitive and social characteristics of software teams.

Elevate the skills and workflow of software teams.

Help product teams move from “storming” to “performing” by improving soft skills and encouraging the development of productive workflows and communication habits. Teach team members to work together to stretch beyond their current abilities and overcome previous limitations.

Increase consistent value delivery.

Optimize an organization’s software development lifecycle based on proven agile and DevOps principles and methods. You also assist teams in designing and continually improving standards, procedures, and workflow automation related to e.g. roadmap planning, release and incident management, and documentation.

Build your in-house software team.

We help organizations build an in-house software development team from the ground up. Whether starting from zero, transitioning from outsourced development, or sourcing additional support through an external partner — we help create the organizational chart, curate talent, manage interviews and optimize team roles based on clear objectives.

Your questions, answered

The Invisory Network is for freelance (or those who aspire to be) product management and software engineering professionals who want to work with ambitious brands, collaborate with other experts on interesting projects, and receive the support they need to grow.

Today, a challenge for independent experts is balancing their client work while engaging with like-minded professionals who develop into trusted relationships. The Invisory Network solves this problem while giving access to exciting projects and a collaborative culture.

Definitely. If you’re aspiring to go part or full-time freelance in the future, the Invisory Network is a logical next step. Our team and network will assist your efforts to build a steady foundation when and if you decide to go full-time independent.

Absolutely. You can continue to build your business outside the Invisory Network, e.g. using referrals, social media, your website, et cetera. There is no obligation to run self-acquired assignments through Invisory.

Not at all. However, if you believe there’s a project that may be outside of your area of expertise or requires additional assistance, Invisory will pay you a commission for sourcing it and bringing it to us — whether you decide to engage with it or not.

For each Invisory client you work for, you send us a monthly invoice after the client has approved the worked hours/days. We ensure that your invoices are always paid within 15 days, even if the client subsequently pays our invoice too late or when they don’t pay at all. This way, you are always guaranteed of rapid payment.

Not necessarily. For a large part of our clients, English is the primary language. For some clients though it is necessary to be able to read and write in Dutch.

We don’t take a cut of your rate, and we don’t charge anything for participating in the network. Instead, we charge clients a fee on top of the agreed rate of the involved professional(s).

The fee depends, among other things, on the duration and complexity of the project, the rate of the professional(s), the type of client, and the amount of work it took to acquire the project.

You are very welcome to participate in network events for an introduction. If, after one or a few events, you have a good picture of the network and you are enthusiastic, we ask you to formally join.

In general, Invisory’s Interim assignments do require a commitment of 32+ hours per week. But Advisory work (e.g. coaching a team) is usually based on part-time engagements and often perfectly doable alongside other freelance work.

The first step towards exciting work with a like-minded community starts here.

Take the first step and apply to Invisory’s network of freelance Product & Tech professionals.
