Track Record

Before embarking on my journey as a Fractional CTO assisting multiple companies, I spent 7 years at Scale-up Mendix in Rotterdam, followed by 5 years as CTO at start-up Easee in Amsterdam. Throughout this period, I progressed from junior cloud engineer to product manager, team lead, and ultimately CTO. Each role was rewarding, and I’m particularly proud of the following projects:

A) At easee, beyond developing the entire product, building a team, and securing several patents, I spearheaded the certification process. This involved establishing a Quality Management System & Technical File for an innovative software medical device—a formidable challenge, given our lack of experience. With an internal team and minimal external consultation, we implemented a comprehensive QMS for the company. For four years, I led demanding 3-day audits. Recognizing that other companies faced similar challenges, I initiated a meetup group that has since grown to over 650 members across Europe. The resulting network has become an invaluable resource for quick, accurate information in a field where such knowledge is scarce.

B) As Product Manager for Mendix Cloud v4—Mendix’s first AWS-hosted cloud environment—I oversaw its launch while maintaining 24/7 uptime for v3 with a small team. Our adoption of Cloud Foundry enabled us to forge partnerships with industry giants like SAP, Pivotal, IBM, AWS, and HP.

I’ve been involved in numerous other exciting projects, which I’ve detailed in a recent blog post.
