Tim is best described as no-nonsense. He has a pragmatic view on software teams, architecture, and product planning. Drawing from 15 years of experience at successful SaaS companies—including over a decade as CTO—Tim has been at the technical helm of the highly successful startup Sendcloud. “Steering a tight and clear course is essential to build the best product and get the most out of your teams,” he says. “This sometimes involves tough choices, doing more by planning less. This applies to both your product and technical strategy.”

Track record

Tim has over 10 years of experience as CTO for various SaaS startups. In a seven-year span, he transformed Sendcloud—an online shipping solution for webshops—into a European market leader. Under his guidance, Sendcloud grew from a small Benelux player to cover nine countries. The product evolved from serving small, starting webshops to becoming a comprehensive shipping solution for enterprise customers. Sendcloud raised several investments, including a €150 million Series C, and expanded from a team of 20 to an international company of over 500 employees.

Post-Sendcloud, Tim turned his attention to other startups, including Vue Storefront—an international player providing enterprise-level software solutions for building top-tier webshops using headless and composable technology. As Chief Technology and Product Officer, he implemented a clear product strategy and aligned engineering teams. This approach improved product quality, shortened time-to-market, and enhanced the synergy between marketing, sales, and product development.
